The Brief
Understanding how the space needed to feel
A heritage shopfront was being reimagined as a fashion flagship. The brand wanted theatre at the threshold and crisp, true-to-fabric rendering at the rail, all while keeping the original pressed-metal ceiling visually intact. Glare and visible hardware were not options.
Our Approach
Designing the scheme
We ran a slim recessed track within a shadow gap so the ceiling appears uninterrupted, then layered adjustable spots with tight beam optics to sculpt each display. A single decorative cluster of hand-blown glass pendants anchors the centre of the floor, drawing the eye inward from the street and giving the space a memorable signature.
The Outcome
Living with the result
The store now performs as a stage set that can be re-lit for each season in minutes. Accent contrast makes merchandise leap forward, the heritage ceiling is celebrated rather than hidden, and the pendant cluster has become the most photographed corner of the building.
